Better than the real thing

Good 1st time, better 2nd. Some songs come into their own the second time around. Nothing Compares to U – but sometimes it does. With a little help from friends, covers stop being copies and start to define a song. Bob Dylan’s ‘All Along the Watchtower’ was completely re-invented by Jimi Hendrix, but others have covered the cover. It’s not all re-treads today, I’ve included some new songs. I dare say they’ll also be covered in time.
