Why would a songwriter might give another artist a great song?

Collaboration maybe? The royalties? Sometimes the song suits another artist better – and, naturally, seeing a big star singing your song is a mind-blowing experience. Today, in the first hour, we’re showcasing great songwriters who selflessly gave songs I’ve playlisted to others – and in the second, hour, the same songs after they’ve been altered and washed.
