Easter Sunday
The Uprising
Seasonal songs rarely include Easter. So for this show on Easter Day we played some music inspired by Easter, some that symbolises resurrection and the rise after the fall.
We make room for an emotional reading of WB Yeats ‘Easter 2016’ by Liam Neeson with music by Zachary David. A couple of classic hymns and gospel songs are reinvented for 2021 and we feature a range of songs asked for people who want to say hi to friends and family that they won’t be seeing this Easter. And we’ll remember why this day is so special. Can radio do Easter? Yes it can..
