Sound and Vision

Listen and You’ll See. Today we focus on eyes in music.

Engaging with the sounds, nuances, and emotions in music, we get a broader, more vivid perspective enabling us to ‘see’ the story or feeling behind the track.

It encourages a holistic and immersive approach to music appreciation, where the auditory experience transcends mere sound, enabling you to connect with the visual and emotional layers between the notes.

Tracks to listen to with your eyes and see with your ears. The eyes are windows to the Soul, but also to Rock’n’Roll, Jazz, and the best songwriting you’ll ever see or hear.

Why can’t We live together?

Yesterday was Armistice Day. The 11th minute of 11th day of the 11th month. The day when the mass slaughter of 8 and a half million soldiers and 13 million civilians ended.  The WW1 poets Rupert Graves, Rupert Brooke, Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen observed, lamented and died during and after the war to end all wars. Except war didn’t end. Today, on this day of remembrance, I will let the music and words and speak for themselves. Surrender to Peace

A lot of music has been written about the act of surrender – to love, to inevitability but it can also mean giving in to force or oppression. Surrender can be a positive choice. Reconciliation in a conflict or argument can lead to resolution and peace. It can also mean letting go of control and accepting things beyond one’s power, which can be a source of relief and personal growth.

But surrender can also be a very negative experience when it means giving up your principles, rights, or values in the face of oppression.
