When Ends Don’t Meet

This is a show where the rhythm hits harder than the rent, and every chord carries the weight of the week. This is music for the overdraft generation – for those who know the sound of a final notice and the silence of an empty fridge.

Tonight, we tune into the blues – not the genre, but the feeling. The kind that creeps in when the cost of living climbs and the pay cheque falls.

But in the struggle, there’s soul. In the hardship, harmony. So whether you’re counting coins or counting blessings, this is your soundtrack. A show that goes for broke.

Mute (songs without singers)

Instrumentals have been a staple of pop music as long as it has existed, and songs without vocals have been hits where words fall away and the music speaks without words. This is your passage into the instrumental undercurrent: a twilight zone of B-sides, lost themes, and sonic sketches that never asked for a spotlight but deserve one.

So lean in. Let go. And listen closely. Mute isn’t quiet – it’s what happens when the vocals step aside and the music finally gets to finish its sentence. Mute is where the vocals vanish and the instrumentals take centre stage. No lyrics. No distractions. A soundtrack for the parts of your life that are too bad, or too good for words..

Know Regret

Regret is a quiet companion until music gives it a voice. Whether it’s the ache of a love misjudged, the sting of a decision made too soon, or the slow burn of beliefs we no longer hold, music lets us confess what words often can’t. A melody can cradle remorse without shame, and a lyric can say sorry without asking for forgiveness. In three minutes, a song can do what a lifetime of reflection struggles to achieve: make regret beautiful, bearable, and sometimes even shared.

As Édith Piaf famously sang, “J’regrette rien” – I regret nothing. But for many of us, the more honest refrain might be its shadowed twin: “Je regrette tout.” I regret everything.

Your Harbour

We need places to go when the world feels too loud.

Like a lighthouse in the fog, music has a way of building safe places. Invisible architecture. Emotional sanctuaries. A harbour. We all need one. A place to dock when the tide of life gets rough. For some, it’s a memory. For others, it’s a melody. A voice that says, “You’re not alone.”

Music is more than entertainment – it’s a shelter.

You’ll hear stories of emotional anchorage, musical lifeboats, and the strange comfort of finding yourself in someone else’s song. Because sometimes, the safest place isn’t a physical one – it’s a chord. A vibration. A shared feeling.

So wherever you are, these 2 hour are yours. A haven from the hurly-burly. A harbour in the storm.

In Sound: Health

The show is a prescription for healing through song: from George Michael’s aching plea for compassion to Sault’s spiritual balm, from the raw confessions of Julien Baker and Bright Eyes to the gospel-tinged resilience of Reba McEntire and MercyMe. Whether it’s the bruised optimism of Snow Patrol, the sonic exorcism of Mary J. Blige, or the surreal tenderness of Lambchop and Julianna Barwick, each track is a step in recovery, a sonic soothing, a whispered prayer. These aren’t just songs, they’re remedies – reminders that healing rarely arrives in silence. It sings.
